Charlie Bendon

Charlie has spent over 20 years focused on finance in the mining sector. Having started his career as the tech bubble burst in 1999/2000 at Old Mutual Securities, Charlie joined the corporate broking department of Williams de Broe in 2002 before leaving to establish the equity sales franchise of Ambrian Partners. Having helped build Ambrian into an established mining boutique, he left in 2010 as the business was bought by RFC. After two years at Liberum Capital he was hired to GMP Securities as Head of Equity Sales in 2012. Following the introduction of MIFid II, Richard Greenfield, Mitch Limb and Charlie started Tamesis as a new model working for mining companies looking for finance in 2016.

Richard Greenfield

Richard qualified as a chartered accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2003 before commencing an investment banking career in 2005, almost all of which has focused on the mining sector. While at Ambrian Partners Richard worked alongside Charlie Bendon as part of that firm’s Extel #1 ranked mining team, acting as Nominated Adviser to a large portfolio of junior and mid-tier companies and concluding a wide range of IPO, secondary financing and M&A transactions. Richard joined GMP Securities Europe LLP as a partner in 2010 as part of a significant expansion of GMP’s London operations, with a particular focus on dual and overseas listed companies and cross border advisory transactions.

Mitch Limb

Mitch has direct mining industry experience having worked on-site as part of the owners’ team during the construction phase of what is now Teranga Gold Corporation’s Sabodala Gold Mine in Eastern Senegal. Following a subsequent move to London, Mitch commenced his investment banking career with GMP Securities Europe LLP where he worked as part of the mining team, concluding a wide range of equity, debt, and M&A transactions across commodity groups and jurisdictions. Mitch holds a BCom from Monash University in Melbourne and a GradDip Economics from SOAS, University of London.

David Butler

David has over 20 years’ investment banking experience, starting in mining research at JP Morgan Cazenove before leading mining research teams at JP Morgan and most recently Barclays Capital. He has been at the forefront of the expansion of the sector on the London Stock Exchange since 1999 leading the IPOs of a large number of companies as an equity research analyst. Before commencing his investment banking career David held positions as a chartered mining and civil  engineer in industry having graduated as a mining engineer from Imperial College, London.
